I thought I'd write a little about dropping Brenna off at the MTC last Wednesday. It was somewhat stressful getting out the door because there were so many last-minute things Brenna wanted to do. After getting a beautiful father's blessing from Jerry, we piled into the van. Brenna ran to hold Scooter one last time--being an outside cat, he was overwhelmed by all the sudden attention. It took some doing, but with Noelle's help she hugged him goodbye :).
We stopped at the Original Pancake House in SLC on our way to the MTC for a delicious brunch, so we got Brenna to the MTC about 30 min. late. They still accepted her ;). In fact, there was still a friendly sister missionary out front to help escort her in. Saying goodbye was super hard! Of course I started to break down, but Brenna appeared calm and eager to start her journey as a LDS missionary.
I'll be posting for Brenna from her account while she's gone with the emails and pictures she sends us.
The proud mom,
LeeAnne
